The interior design alphabet series marches on. ‘U’ presented a challenge. Suggestions included ; Universal Design (that would be a series of posts, not just one), and up lighting. Having just had the opportunity to work with unfinished wood furniture for a S Interior Design client, that was chosen as the topic to blog about.
Starting with an unfinished piece of furniture opens up a world of options as to how to proceed. Using unfinished furniture is a great way to achieve a truly unique design outcome. You can stain the wood, you can paint the wood, you can color wash the wood, add decorative stencils…..the options are almost endless!
It can seem a bit scary…What if it turns out badly? What if it screws up the furniture?
